Time...

I have been so busy. Every 2-3 weeks i have had a show for Tew Little Loves, many orders that keep me busy, work, and spending time with my girls and hubby, etc.

Summer is coming to a start and the school year is coming to an end. I am  so excited to be spending time with my girls. We have tons of plans: a weekly movie thanks to the summer movie package that Harkins Theaters offers, going to the water park, the bookstore and best of all, lunch with daddy!

About a couple of weeks ago an amazing job opportunity came up. This job sounded so dreamy and the salary was way beyond what i will ever make teaching. I was pretty dead set that i would be changing career paths and that the end of my teaching career was over. The only downfall to this new career would be that I would work ALL year long. To a teacher ALL year long, is almost nearly impossible to fathom. My first thought were my girls. The time I get with them during the summer, fall, winter, and spring are the times I cherish and I am so thankful I have the career i have. Then I just kept on justifying my decision by thinking about all the other parents who are not teachers and work all year long.

I couldn't. It was a difficult 2 weeks for me. My heart was heavy but I figured our pockets would be so happy.

Then, while on our way to set up an expo with my husband, riding alone without any girls crying or talking our ears off, we had a deep conversation. He expressed his sadness about the girls not being with me those breaks throughout the year any more because after all, i would be working year around.  I broke down. Immediately my heart was no longer heavy. I knew that i could not do that to my girls. I knew that my girls would be in good hands if i did work year around, but they would not get to spend "that" time with me anymore. And so my decision was made.

I absolutely love teaching. I can't wait to teach 2nd grade next year. And i cannot wait to spend my breaks with my girls.

No amount of money would amount for the time lost with my girls. They are only little once and boy are they growing up so quickly. I am at peace with my decision and I am so excited for our summer adventures to come. I am so happy with my decision and don't regret it one bit.

And...during my breaks I get extra time to work on Tew Little Loves, my blog, and a new soon-to-be-announced adventure i am about to embark! Mommies in the Yuma County area, get ready! Can't wait to tell you guys more, but my lips are sealed until June 2nd!

always showing some lovin'

New Items in the Shop!

So I am expanding Tew Little Loves to include cute, affordable boutique clothing. I have tons of new things that I just received and everything reasonably priced. I also have been tampering with beads that I had purchased to make cute chunky necklances but never actually got around to doing it. Check out this awesome outfit that I put together. The necklace is Frozen inspired, because who doesn't like Frozen?!? WE LOVE FROZEN! If my little 2 1/2 year old doesn't claim it before its sold, I might just let her keep it because its beyond adorbs!

This outfit combo, with necklace and headband is only $25. AMAZING DEAL! I am practically giving away the headband (retails for $9) and the necklace for only $5 (retails for $10).

This is such a cute Shabby Chic outfit for $25...It includes a matching sash/belt and headband.

Awesome 4th of July outfit also for only $25...Includes matching sash/belt and matching headband!

If you would like to order any of these outfits, please email me at tewlittleloves@gmail.com or send me a message on Facebook. Very limited quantities available!

Happy Shopping!

Sister Love!

Okay, I have to admit that i am completely beyond thrilled that my girls are starting to get to the age where they might be able to play together. When i found out i was having another girl I cried, I cried HAPPY tears because I knew they would be close in age and they would always have someone who liked the same kind of colors and glitters and they would always have a friend. Knowing that they are growing up together makes my heart happy.

Kendall is at an age that is into everything. My little chunker especially likes the pantry, as soon as she sees the door open she darts to it, maybe thinking about what else she can eat. Both of the girls are really into playing princesses with their princess castle (not sure if Kendall knows what exactly she is doing) but it still counts. I know from here on out it will be so fun seeing both of them interact with eachother.

Then, comes the battles. Right now, Taylor (my oldest) wants everything Kendall has. Taylor is smart enough to know that she can get the toy Kendall is playing with if she gives her another toy. It's working so far. But what am I going to do once Kendall doesn't want another toy, lord help me!

Yesterday, was such an epic moment! I got home from work and Taylor was napping on the couch and Kendall was wide awake. Kendall was picking on her sister trying to wake her. The funniest thing ever. I definitely know that in a few years, it won't be so funny and I'll most likely be a referee. Oh the joys. Then sometimes I like to think about the future and what it will be like having two teenagers. Will they be completely different?! or will they be so much the same (SCARY!) like their Mama?! Ahh so many questions.

Will they want to go to the same college together and be roomates?! If so, I'm going with them! Because of their birthday's, they will only be a year apart in school which is a good and bad thing when it comes to college.

I was blessed with two sisters but they were much older than me, so I never really had anyone to play with or was close to when growing up. While at times it might feel overwhelming having two littles in the house, it is exactly what I wanted and feel completely and utterly blessed to be their Mama, now if only they can both inherit their Daddy's chill attitude!

So for now I am going to enjoy the pease and quiet playing between two sisters!

Valentine's Day Pictures

Happy Valentine's Day!

Thanks to the amazing Andrea Hauck from Andrea Hauck Photography for the amazing pictures of Taylor and Kendall, My Tew Little Loves (hence where I got my shop name). Taylor is going through an odd stage where she absolutely hates getting pictures taken of her, Kendall loves the attention!

Here are some samples of their amazing shoot:

The banner and the girls headbands and outfits were by me.

If you are planning a photo shoot and would like a custom outfit, email me at tewlittleloves@gmail.com!
